A run down of the Ableton Operator Presets…
There’s 3 presets of FM house bass inspired by old FM house basslines, synths like the DX7 and tracks like Ron Hardy’s Sensation. The presets are all either 3 or 4 operator, frequency modulated bass patches that use filter envelopes and built in saturation.
FM House Bass 1 is a simple 4 Op FM Bass with tight FM envelopes for a plucky bass. The second preset FM House Bass 2 has an added sub bass. And FM House Bass 3 has a velocity modulation on the filter for a moving sequence.
